My visit to two local farms..
Cato Corner Farm
Saturday, May 3 between jobs I went to Cato Corner Farm (Dairy Farm) in Colchester. They place is open Saturdays 10-3 and is off of RT 16 heading to East Hampton. The cheese was very good.
Beltane Farm
On Sunday, May 4, We (Pat, Ari and I) went to Beltane Farm in Lebanon, for a cheese tasting. So much fun. Arianna loved the goats and the he kids (baby goats) were so cute. The cheese was wonderful.
They have Spring Cheese Tastings which began on Sunday, May 4th and continue every Sunday through May 25th. They are from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
FYI -- If you go want out for the black flies..

ISR Classes
We spend to much time trying to find the perfect playgroup, make sure our children will be the head of the class ever before the make it to preschool. So want about safety.
I had been think about this since pregnancy and what to take yoga classes and possibly swimming classes. Yoga because it is go to teach children and adults have to relieve stress in a positive manner. The swimming classes because to have a pool, my grandma has a pool and my parents live by the ocean and my husband's parent has a stream in the backyard. We decided to go to Hemlock's. I went there as a child. The program is cute and get you out of the house to met other and do something new.
I'm not sure what I excepted what Ari would get out of it. We are often late. And she would be cold must of the time. The classes is 45mins long of sign and activities. The activities are great for old child so do and for her to watch. All the other children in the group at 2 plus. Arianna is 10mos.
Which begins me to the Infant Swimming Resource. I feel this is a great idea... My husband and I talked out it serveal times. One of our friends has chosen to do this with her daughter.
Why haven't we done it yet...
There are no instructor close enough to us to offer it. To become an instructor, well it cost $12,000. The 4-6 week course along is about $600 per child depending on where you live.
Join ISR's National Waiting List to receive future information about instructors coming to your area.

This is a another style I plan to check out. Bubbles to Butterfly

Playgroup Choices...
Playgroup Choices...
So in my search for playgroups... I found one on Papaya Patch website for Natural Living. It is call Families for Natural Living Playgroup it is in Middletown at the Family Wellness Center on Main Street (860-347-6971). I may check it out as they also have a Breastfeeding playgroup. The group is not till the 20th of May.
I have several playgroups on Meetup.com and plan to check them out as well.
What I would like in a playgroup...
I am hope to find one that has a multi-culture feel along with open mindedness to all choices that other makes for the children and family. Although I am one for being positive, trying not to use no to much, eating as health as you can. And exercising and not watch TV to much. To wear her more then push her around during certain activities, museums, art galleries, hikes walk around town... So far she is a happy baby, I want to keep that happiness going...
What I want out of it playgroup...
I want to get ideas on parenting whether it is watch others with their children or getting advice. Good friendships with like minded people, not super crunchy just trying to be a bit healthier and fun activities to enjoy with ours.
Of course I know that what you put into it, you get out of it...
So I need to make an effort not to be to shy.
We made it to a playgroup.
